With the use of humor and simple to understand cartoons, these cartoon's purpose are to bring awareness of current events and issues that are happening in this world. As you can see on this political cartoon about television media, with a touch of sarcasm it is showing how most events that are covered and reported on the news are mostly grim and horrible situations. Can this world get any messed up? for once can something amazingly pleasant happen in this world. This cartoon is basically mocking how "bright" are all the topics that the media covers. Its expressing how the people feel, that we want more good situations to occur and to be broadcasted so everyone can actually see the "bright side" in this world. But we can only hope.
From the news to even shows such as Family Guy they evidently show our societies problems and situations that occur. I have definitely agree that our media explicitly show tragedies and disasters that are going on but never air anything that is beneficial to us and our society. "But we can only hope" that more positive reports can take role in our media.
